On 28 minutes Paul Evans shot straight at the goalkeeper from a direct free-kick. Five minutes later Williams for Posh has a good run and shot before placing the ball wide of Smith in the Brentford goal.
With five minutes before half time, Brentford took the lead. A long ball from hunt found Burgess, whose header to Owusu saw the striker take a good first touch and rammed the ball into the net for his fifteenth goal of the season.
