Brentford secured their first victory at The McAlpine Stadium in five attempts with a two-nil win over Huddersfield Town.
Bees manager Wally Downes fielded four debutants in the shape of Ibrahima Sonko, Jamie Fullarton, Rowan Vine and Leo Roget. Huddersfield Town made most of the opening exchanges, the closest of which hit the Brentford crossbar on twenty minutes.
Against the run of play - The Bees took the lead with their first shot on goal. A free-kick was whipped in from the right hand side by Kevin O'Connor
which the Terriers defence failed to clear. The ball landed in the path of Jamie Fullarton, who drove a rasping shot past Bevan from the edge of the area.
Fourteen minutes later, Brentford's advantage was doubled. Another free-kick, this time taken by Dobson was headed on by Eddie Hutchinson. Kevin O'Connor
laid a neat path for Rowan Vine - who fired in a belter to make it 2-0.

Jay Smith replaced the injured Jamie Fullarton after the break - who suffered knee ligament damage. The bees continued to press and restricted Huddersfield to few chances in the second half - The closest The Terriers came to scoring was with nine minutes remaining - keeper Paul Smith pulled off a tremendous save from Jon Stead.
The final whistle sounded with the Brentford players joining in the celebrations with the Brentford fans behind the goal.
