Honours even in the final match of the season with Stephen Evans scoring the Bees equaliser. Wally Downes gave Mark Williams a farewell start on the right wing, with Rowan Vine restored to the front line.
After a poor first half from both sides, the visitors opened the scoring against the run of play in the 57th minute when Adam Newton crossed from the right and Andy Clarke had the simple task of slotting home from five yards out.
Wally Downes responded to the goal by throwing on teenage substitutes Jay Tabb and Mark Peters and the double switch were soon to reap dividends.
In the 67th minute, Tabb picked out Stephen Evans and the Welshman skipped past Simon Rea's challenge before drilling a low shot across Posh goalkeeper Brian Murphy inside the area.
The goal gave The Bees the upper hand, and they pressed forward in search of a winner. The closest they came was in the 71st minute, as Peters chipped the ball against the crossbar and Tabb also headed the rebound against the woodwork.
