Brentford completed a stirring come-back to win a seven-goal thriller at Griffin Park
on Tuesday night. Twice Doncaster forged ahead but were eventually beaten by a three-goal salvo in eleven minutes.
Andrew Frampton replaced the injured Andy Myers at left-back, with Matt Somner on the bench. It was Doncaster that drew first blood in the third minute - Michael McIndoe capitalising on a defensive error to shoot home from eighteen yards. Brentford equalised ten minutes before half-time - Isaiah Rankin's header connecting with Jay Tabb's superb cross from the right. Doncaster sneaked ahead in first half injury-time, Referee Olivier awarding a penalty for Stuart Nelson's challenge on Michael McIndoe.The Rovers forward picked himself up to net his second of the evening.
The Bees levelled things up in the 52nd minute, Chris Hargreaves smashing the ball home from seven yards.Two minutes later - Brentford took a lead they were not to surrender, this time Deon Burton opening his account for the season.
Jay Tabb was instrumental in Brentford's revival, and he capped off a fine performance to loft the ball over the Rovers goalkeeper Andy Warrington for Brentford's fourth.
Despite Paul Green's late goal for six minutes from time, Brentford recorded a well-deserved three points.
