Brentford Women's FC made it two wins from three last Sunday after a 6-2 demolition of Victoire Ladies as they moved into fourth in the Greater London Women's Football League Division One. Dana Johnson was the start of the show, grabbing four goals in the impressive performance in South London.
Her first came inside the first five minutes as she neatly finished past the Victoire keeper from a one-on-one. Johnson made it 2-0 moments later and then went on to complete a first-half hat-trick, heading home Amber Langston-Lloyd's corner. Sasha Treadway looked to have wrapped up the points before the break with a long-range free-kick but Victoire hit back, scoring twice in quick succession.
Any nervousness in The Bees ranks was eased when Johnson took her tally to five for the season, tucking home from close range and the emphatic win was complete when substitute Sophie Lee volleyed home late on.
Speaking after the match, captain Amber Langston-Lloyd said: “Spirits are high right now having picked up two wins from our opening three games. It is important that we continue to push on and get as many points on the board as possible because our aim is promotion.”
On Sunday The Bees are in FA Women's Cup Second Qualifying Round action against Southern Region Women's Football League Premier Division leaders Chesham United at Lampton School, kick-off 2pm.
