Brentford's Development Squad defender Alfie Mawson returns to Griffin Park as loan at Luton Town comes to an end

Development Squad central defender Alfie Mawson has returned from his loan spell at Skrill Premier Luton Town.
Alfie joined Luton, who are top of the table, on loan in November in a deal that ran until last Saturday, January 4.
He made one appearance for Luton and picked up an injury in a 5-0 win over Alfreton Town.
He was named as a substitute on five occasions since, without being called upon.
Alfie trained with Luton this week but it has now been agreed that he will return to Brentford.
Ose Aibangee, Brentford FC Academy Director, said: “Alfie has been around the starting XI at Luton and has trained in a high pressure professional environment, preparing for matches at a good standard.
“He has had the added factor of being at a club pushing for promotion back to the Football League and preparing for games where there is a lot at stake.
“He has had more experience outside of Brentford FC, which can only assist him.
“We welcome him back to our Development Squad group and will look at how this experience has helped him.”
Alfie, who turns 20 later this month, is in the second year of a two-year Development Squad contract he signed last summer after excelling in Brentford’s Youth Team.
In an injury-hit 2012/13 season, Alfie played 11 games for The Bees in the Under-21 Professional Development League Two South.
He has played seven games this term, scoring twice.
Alfie played nine games for Maidenhead United – who play in the Skrill South – in two spells last season and joined them again at the start of October, playing four more games for the Berkshire side.
He then joined Luton on loan.
Alfie made his Brentford debut in the Capital One Cup defeat against Derby County in August.
