We are pleased to unveil our stripes for the 2015/16 season. Our Official Kit Partner adidas have manufactured the replica kits which are now sponsored by Matchbook.
The Home Shirt features the traditional red and white stripes with black trim and a stylish black polo collar.
The Away Shirt is a blue design with white trim and will be paired with blue shorts and blue socks.
Brentford Head Coach Marinus Dijkhuizen said: “In the short time I have been at Brentford I have seen how important the red and white stripes are to the fans. I can’t wait to see Griffin Park full of fans in our new shirt.”
“I am sure a sea of red and white will be the extra lift the players need on difficult days over the coming season.”
Chief Executive Mark Devlin added: “Our new Home Kit is bespoke and has been designed by adidas solely for Brentford to maintain the tradition of red and white stripes.”
“Our Away Kit was selected in discussion with adidas. We were looking for something completely different from the last few seasons. We wanted a fresh approach to get the fans excited but also, from a practical point of view, the Away Kit needed to be significantly different from the Home Kit to ensure that there are no colour clashes. We wanted to produce something that fans want to buy but is also fashionable and I feel that both the Home and Away Shirts will prove very popular with Brentford fans.”
This is the first kit since Brentford and adidas, the world’s biggest football brand, signed a four-year extension to their current relationship last September.
adidas will continue to offer Brentford fans a wide range of Replica Kit, Training Wear, branded merchandise and apparel in the Club’s Stadium Shop and Online Shop at brentforddirect.co.uk
An adidas spokesperson said: “This kit is a fresh take on the classic designs of the mid 70s, the shirt features the famous Brentford FC red and white stripes, a stylish black polo collar and the familiar three stripes of adidas. The shirt incorporates Climacool open mesh and ventilation technology to keep cool air flowing in and heat flowing out, promoting optimum performance on pitch. The shirt will also be worn with black shorts and socks.
“Inspired by tradition, the away jersey features a striking bold blue design with an elegant drop needle stitch detailing. The kit is complimented with white colour blocking details on the sleeves and shorts and features adidas DRYDYE technology which dyes fabric without using water, saving 25 litres per garment.”
Jake Bidwell, Harlee Dean, Alan Judge, Toumani Diagouraga and James Tarkowski can be seen sporting the new adidas kits in a photo gallery from the recent shoot.
