Brentford have signed England Under-19 international striker Chuba Akpom on loan from Arsenal.
The 18-year-old linked up with The Bees this morning and completed his move to Griffin Park.
He will remain with Brentford until February 9.
Mark Warburton, Brentford FC Manager, said: “I am delighted to welcome Chuba to the Club for what will be his first loan spell away from his home club.
“I have enjoyed watching Chuba's development over the last two seasons and particularly noticed his contribution for Arsenal in the NextGen Series tournament.
“He is a strong, quick player with an excellent touch and good vision and I am sure he will make a valuable contribution to the squad in the weeks ahead.
“I would very much like to thank Arsenal for their most professional and prompt response to our request to take Chuba.”
Chuba has been with Arsenal since he was six-years-old and has progressed through the youth ranks at the North London club.
He made his Premier League debut in September and also played in Arsenal’s Capital One Cup win over West Bromwich Albion later that month, converting a penalty as The Gunners won a shoot-out.
He has represented England at Under-16, Under-17 and Under-19 level.
Chuba scored five goals in 13 Under-17 internationals and has six in 11 Under-19 internationals so far.
He played for Arsenal’s Under-18 side when he was just 15 and has played for The Gunners at both Under-21 and Under-18 level this season.
Chuba has scored three goals in four games in the UEFA Youth League this term and his last outing saw him score a hat-trick for Arsenal’s Under-18s in an FA Youth Cup win against Peterborough United.
