Goalkeeper given three-game ban after Bradford dismissal

David Button has been handed a three-game suspension following his red card in the defeat against Bradford City on Saturday.
Button was dismissed in the 25th minute, with the score at 0-0, following a challenge on Bantams striker Nahki Wells and Brentford went on to lose the game 4-0.
The referee’s report has indicated that the dismissal was for Serious Foul Play, which carries an automatic three game ban.
David has featured seven times for The Bees this season since his move from Charlton in the summer, keeping clean sheets in the games against Walsall and Carlisle United.
David will be unavailable for the games against Tranmere Rovers this Saturday, Leyton Orient on Monday September 23 and the trip to Coventry City on Sunday September 29.
Brentford have decided not to appeal against the dismissal.
