Oyeleke links up with Aldershot Town

Development Squad midfield player Emmanuel Oyeleke has joined Aldershot Town on a Youth Loan.

The Hampshire club were relegated out of the Football League last year and will start their campaign in The Skrill Premier – the new name for the top division of the Football Conference – with a trip to Grimsby Town tomorrow, Saturday August 10.

Emmanuel, better known to most as Manny, has linked up with The Shots today and will be available for the match tomorrow.

He will stay with Aldershot until December 22, two days before his 21st birthday, but Brentford will be able to recall him at 24 hours’ notice after the first 28 days of the deal.

Manny made his Brentford debut in an FA Cup Second Round tie against Wrexham in December 2011 and has made two further appearances for The Bees, in a League One game against Milton Keynes Dons and in Tuesday night’s Capital One Cup tie against Dagenham and Redbridge.

He also had a spell on loan at Northampton Town last season.

Ose Aibangee, Brentford Academy Director, said: “Manny has been working with the First Team in pre-season and had done well enough to be given a chance on Tuesday night.

“He now has the opportunity to go out on loan and play regular competitive football.

“The Conference in tough, there are lots of games in a short space of time and he will have the pressure of playing for points.

“Manny has done a good job at Development Squad level but now has to step up and play competitive men’s football.

“We will watch with interest how he does over the next few months.”
