Striker heads to League Two on loan

Brentford striker Paul Hayes has joined Plymouth Argyle on loan.

The forward has only made one First Team appearance this season, in the Capital One Cup win against Dagenham and Redbridge.

He linked up with the Sky Bet League Two side this morning and signed a one-month loan deal.

Paul will remain in Devon initially until November 2.

The striker joined Brentford from Charlton Athletic on a three-year deal in August 2012.

He scored six goals in 32 games in his first season at Griffin Park and also went out on loan to Crawley Town before returning to play for The Bees in the League One Play-Off Semi-Final and Final.

Paul started out at Norwich City and before arriving at Griffin Park he also played for Scunthorpe United, Barnsley, Huddersfield Town and Preston North End, as well as having a loan spell at Wycombe Wanderers.

He will be available for Plymouth’s match against Exeter City tomorrow, Saturday October 5, and has been given permission to play in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
