Development Squad Midfielder Tyrell Miller-Rodney has joined Skrill South side Maidenhead United on a Youth Loan until March 23rd.
The 19-year-old came through the Youth Team at Brentford and signed a one-year pro deal in the summer of 2013 after completing his two-year scholarship.
Tyrell played 11 Development Squad games in 2012/13 and has gone on to make eight appearances in the U21 Professional Development League Two South this season.
The combative midfielder was an unused substitute in Brentford’s Capital One Cup defeat away at Derby County back in August; his first taste of First-Team action.
Maidenhead are currently in the relegation zone in Skrill South three points from safety.
The Magpies have only played twice in the last month due to the weather but have nine games scheduled during Tyrell’s time at York Road.
Tyrell has joined in time to be included in Maidenhead's squad for their trip to Chelmsford City tomorrow.
Academy Director Ose Aibangee said: “This is an important move in Tyrell’s development.
“Not only is this his first real experience in men’s football but he will quickly have to adapt to the pressures of a relegation battle and the pressures of games coming thick and fast.
“In the Development Squad results are not the be all and end all but when you are fighting for survival in the league then results are paramount.
“Tyrell’s time at Maidenhead will be a good test to see how he will stand up to the pressure of playing Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday over a long period of time.
“We have sent players to Maidenhead United before and they have been well looked after so we know Tyrell is going to a good club.
“Hopefully he can get valuable experience out of this move and also help Maidenhead to stay in the division.”
