Brentford Football Club' official website - www.brentfordfc.co.uk – will start the process of moving to a new design and platform from 2pm BST today [Thursday]
The club is part of the Football League Interactive (FLi) agreement - a company owned by the Football League to exploit member clubs digital rights - and the launch is one of 86 across the network of football clubs across the division.
All 86 clubs had a choice of three templates to choose from and have been launching over a period of the last five weeks.
FLi are in partnership with Sapient Nitro to provide the infrastructure for the new websites.
Current suppliers Perform will continue to maintain the Bees Player service on behalf of FLi and the club.
Any supporter with a current Bees Player subscription will not be affected by the move.
Propagation
When websites launch on different servers it takes a while for everybody connected to the internet to see them. It can take 48 hours for everyone to see this change worldwide.
If you can't see the new site in 48 hours from this news story, check with your administrator or internet service provider.
If you have any queries, feedback or suggestions after launch, please email mchapman@brentfordfc.co.uk
As with all big content migrations from one platform to another, there may be teething problems and we ask supporters to be patient whilst issues are corrected.
Some of them are outlined below:
Site Slowness
Sapient Nitro is increasing sever capacity week by week to meet with demand but at times the website may be slower than normal on launch.
Our website on mobile devices
FLi's mobile websites will be launched in September and are built on the Netbiscuits mobile publishing platform.
They will have the same redirect process that is on the current website maintained by Perform.
Sapient Nitro have ensured there is a gap between the website and mobile site launches to minimise risk of two critical launches rolling out concurrently.
Accessing the new website will take you to the full live site that renders well on some smartphones and not on others.
We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
