GREAT WEEKEND AT GRIFFIN PARK
Griffin Park saw a mix of extended rain, cold winds and sunshine over a 32 hour period this past weekend during which two major Club Events passed off highly successfully…The Brentford Sixes and The Sunday Funday.
On Saturday sixteen teams took part in the annual Sixes competition with two teams from each of four leagues progressing through to the quarter final knock out stages.
The respective league winners and runners up were Buckingham Golf Club (winners), Greenford Gaints B (runners up), Dot.com (winners), Inter Minan (runners up), Bartercard (winners), Boston Shamrocks (runners up), Griffin Park Casuals (winners) and Elm Grove FC (runners up).
In the semis Inter Minan beat Buckingham Golf Club, whilst Dot.com got the better of Griffin Park Casuals.
The eventual winners were Dot.com who beat Inter Minan 3-0.

Brentford FC's Official Photographer Mark Fuller took a variety of photos at both events - to view or purchase copies of these - please click here .
On Sunday about 2,000 people attended the Funday which this year escaped the rain in total contrast to last year's deluge.
The Bill Bell Sevens, a competition for youngsters, saw Hanwell Town edge out Celtic to win the trophy which was presented to the teams by Sanjay Sharma, the Project Development Manager for Barratt Homes who generously sponsored the Event for the second consecutive year.

There was something for everybody throughout the afternoon from live entertainment to the regular bouncy castles, Club and charity stalls, a selection of sports such as boxing, cricket and of course football to test your prowess and The Army who again supported the Event innovatively. In addition of course was the launch of The Bees new home shirt with Glenn Poole, one of seven players in attendance during the afternoon, displaying his skills in the window of The Bees Superstore earlier on.
The Club would like to place on record their thanks to all those who came along and supported the Event and also to the Community Sports Trust team who were instrumental in the success of the Funday with their preparation, organisation and clearing up operation.
