Sam Wood signed for Brentford from Bromley in the summer of 2008 in a deal completed with the financial assistance of The Brentford Lifeline Society.
The 25-year-old left sided player joined The Bees after three successful years with Bromley, having started out at Cray Wanderers.
He was part of the Brentford squad that won the Coca-Cola League Two championship in 2009 and his performances earned him the Supporters' 'Player of the Year' award in his debut Football League season.
He has now racked up more than 100 Football League appearances for The Bees - playing on both the left and right of midfield and at left back - scoring five goals in all competitions, including one at St Andrew's when Brentford narrowly failed to beat Birmingham City in the Carling Cup Fourth Round.
Sam is on loan at Rotherham United until January 9 and under contract at Griffin Park until June 2012.
