19 year old Ben is currently on loan from Premiership side Reading. He was called in to deputise for the injured Simon Brown at the start of the season and returned to Reading in late October having made seven starts for The Bees.

When Brown twisted his ankle in training on New Years Eve, a last minute deal was struck for Ben to return to Griffin Park on an emergency loan deal, and he began his second Brentford spell in the 2-1 win at Dagenham and Redbridge on New Years Day.  

The loan was extended on 28th January 2008, to continue until the end of the 2007/08 season.
