Pim Balkestein signed for Brentford in the summer of 2010 after two successful loan spells at Griffin Park.
The 24-year-old left sided defender came through the ranks at SC Heerenveen before signing for Ipswich Town in 2008.
He first came to Griffin Park on loan in December 2009 and returned for a second spell in March of 2010 before signing up permanently.
Pim has joined Rochdale on loan until January 18 2012 but is under contract at Griffin Park until June 2013.
