Goalkeeper Antoine Gounet joined Brentford in January 2012 after an extended trial.
The 23-year-old stopper was released by FC Tours in the summer of 2011 and arrived in England looking to find a club.
He turned up at Brentford's Training Ground and impressed enough to be given an opportunity in the Club's Development Squad.
His performances at that level were enough to earn him a professional contract.
Antoine is under contract at Griffin Park until June 2012 and there is an option for a further year.
