Brentford's npower League One match against Preston North End has been postponed.

The Bees were due to play the Lancashire club at Deepdale this afternoon but the match was called off yesterday following a pitch inspection.

A Football League referee inspected the playing surface at Deepdale at 12.15pm on Friday and adjudged it to be unplayable.

With the forecast for temperatures to stay very low over the folloowing 24 hours it was felt the surface would not thaw in time.
