THREE PROMISES
The Football Club has recently completed the Football League's 2008 Customer Charter Questionnaire part of which required the club to make three promises for the forthcoming season.
The promises, which the Club have committed to are:
1. We will offer families the opportunity, on a match by match basis, to purchase two adult tickets plus two or three under sixteen year old tickets, for just £20 thus further encouraging family units to enjoy the live match day experience at Griffin Park.
2. We will extend the facilities offered by our Blind and visually impaired commentary service to reach all parts of the ground by way of an updated radio system. We will also seek to offer a similar service to those blind and visually impaired supporters who want to travel to away games and hear a match commentary.
3. We willimprove the match day and pitch experience for community, school and youth groups by inviting them to take part in half time penalty shoot outs and football skills sessions.
The Club would like to expand further on each of these objectives:
- The opportunity to purchase these Family Tickets was announced recently. These tickets, which are for two adults and up to three under 16s, will only be available in advance of the day of the game, for each League game at Griffin Park this season. Seats will be located within Block B in the Braemar Road Stand.
- The facilities offered by the members of the Supporters Association to the Club's blind and visually impaired supporters by way of a match commentary, were greatly enhanced at the end of last season when The Brentford Lifeline Society kindly funded the provision of a new UHF Radio System. The system operates anywhere within the stadium and up to a range of 200 metres, whilst the sound quality is crystal clear which means that up to twenty supporters can tune in to the system and they can effectively sit anywhere inside the stadium and receive the commentary. As a result of this "upgrade" the facility is this season being offered to blind and visually impaired Bees fans who wish to travel to an away game and receive the "regular" commentary from Bees fans.
- This is a commitment that was reintroduced towards the end of last season and is being co-ordinated by the Community Sports Trust. It is hoped that this will have the effect of attracting youngsters and their families to Griffin Park on a regular basis having enjoyed the experience of walking out onto the pitch and participating in activities on it.
