Young central defender James Wilson said he was "really pleased" that Bristol City have allowed him to stay at Griffin Park until early November.
Brentford manager Andy Scott said in his post-match press conference that City boss Gary Johnson had agreed to extend Wilson's loan deal in west London to a total of 93 days, meaning he will be a Bees player until around November 8, the date of the FA Cup first round.
Scott also confirmed that Wilson's central defensive colleague Alan Bennett will be at the club until January after Reading agreed to extend that loan deal, a move which has pleased the Irishman.
Bennett said: "I'm happy, we have a good team.

"We could have pushed on today and we are happy with the clean sheet but going forward we need more.
"If that is our only problem it is a small problem.
"We have conceded one goal in four games, things have settled down well.
"These are good habits, it's a good base - good teams are built on a good base."
Bennett said there was a little bit of disappointment that all three points had not been gathered but he saw it as a positive sign that his team mates will not settle for second best.
Central defensive partner Wilson echoed Bennett's comments both in terms of the afternoon's result and his medium term future.
He said he was enjoying playing regular first team football, particularly in this Brentford team.
"The lads are quality," said Wilson. "It's really good playing with Alan Bennett, he gets me talking and gets me organised.
"We have three clean sheets on the trot, we have to keep that going.
"We are disappointed not to have won but Rotherham are a good team."

Wilson will be available for The Bees Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie against Yeovil Town on Tuesday but will miss the game against table-toppers Dagenham and Redbridge next Saturday, as he will be on international duty with Wales under-21s.
He has yet to pick up a cap, despite being names in previous squads, and said he is hoping to get a chance.
"I'm from Wales and [to get that recognition] is brilliant for me," he added.
