Brentford manager Andy Scott indicated the club may appeal against Kevin O'Connor's sending off in the victory over Dagenham and Redbridge.

The midfield man was dismissed with 13 minutes remaining for what appeared to be a perfectly fair tackle on Ben Strevens, where O'Connor played the ball away with one foot.

Scott said he would review the video of the incident before deciding what to do next.

"Kev thinks it was harsh," said the Brentford boss. "Any tackle deemed to be with malicious intent is a straight red - we will se if that was the case.

"It was quite slippy, two committed players going for the ball and he [Strevens] got caught.

"We will have a look at it."

The Brentford manager admitted there was still more to come from his team but was pleased to see improvements in key areas.

"We have been working on set pieces and we have been trying different players and permutations attacking the ball," said Scott.

"The first ball that came in [from Adam Newton] was in the middle of the goal and Nathan [Elder] had a free header.

"We looked more menacing from set pieces, we have worked on that.

"First half we could have been a couple more up.

"We are still not passing it as well as we want to when we are under pressure but we can work on that.

"It was pleasing to score two goals, disappointing to concede one from a throw-in."

Andy Scott's post-match press conference will be broadcast in full on Bees World, which can be purchased for just 50p a week.
