Speaking to ITV1 directly after Brentford's FA Cup first round win over Havant and Waterlooville on Sunday afternoon, Charlie MacDonald said that his team had done exactly what they knew was needed.
"We knew what they were about after what they achieved in the cup last season. We had to be professional and thankfully we got the victory."

Charlie, who had a hand in all three of the Bees' goals, also gave his verdict on the second round draw, which sees Brentford pitted away from home against either Eastbourne Borough or Barrow.
"The second round will be another tough match. You have to remember that for a lot of the non-league sides then these rounds are cup finals in some respects. It will be another tough game and we'll aim to do another professional job."
Nathan Elder, who sealed the win with a late third and also had a hand in the other two goals was pleased that his side had showed enough strength to avoid a potential banana-skin.

"It's a massive relief to get through, Hamer made some fantastic saves and thankfully the last goal secured it for us. The second round draw looks alright on paper but we all know all about the FA Cup. . . "
