PHILLIPS SIGNS ON DOTTED LINE
Brentford manager Andy Scott has today confirmed that central defender Mark Phillips has signed a new one-year contract, with a further one-year option.
27 year-old Mark started 28 league matches for the Bees last season, scoring one goal, a memorable last-minute header at home to Notts County.
Speaking exclusively to brentfordfc.co.uk, Mark said:
"I'm really happy with how things have turned out. The negotiations took a while but there was no panic and I'm pleased to be staying at the Club.
"Last season was a transitional year for me personally and I'm really looking forward to playing in League 1 next season. I think the team will do well as I feel we're more suited to League 1 than to League 2. We like to pass the ball and play good football and I think that will hold us in good stead in making the step up"
