MARVIN SAYS FARWELL
In conversation with Peter Gilham this afternoon, Marvin Williams spoke of the termination of his contract.

"I was offered the opportunity to come to an amicable agreement re my contract a few days ago. It was all handled very professionally by Brentford and when we finally shook hands as it were, I was told of the interest from Torquay United, which was perfect timing for me.
"The move to Torquay, which is where I spent some time on loan a couple of years ago, gives me the opportunity to get my career back on track. It was the former Chief Executive at Torquay who gave me my first opportunity at Millwall as a youngster and it was also thanks to him that this opportunity arose. Having then spoken to their manager who I understand was a former player at Brentford, Paul Buckle, and having watched them last night against Cheltenham, I liked what he had to say and the way he gets his team to play, and am looking forward to working with him.
"But as I look back on my time here at Brentford I had a great time and also won a championship medal which has been the pinnacle of my career. They are a great bunch of lads here (at Brentford) and I wish them, and the fans, every success this season."
