BENNETT GLAD TO BE BACK
Brentford captain Alan Bennett said it was great to be back on the pitch after missing three and a half games with a groin injury.
The Irishman returned to the heart of the Brentford defence for the 0-0 draw with Huddersfield Town and helped them to their second clean sheet of the campaign.
Bennett admitted he is a "terrible watcher" and was glad to be back in action, he added the point earned at the Galpharm Stadium was a good result.
"It was great to get 90 minutes," said the skipper. "It was a good result and a good clean sheet.
"We knew this game would be a real test of League One football and it was important to come here and not get beaten.
"As a group we hate to lose and needed a reaction from last week's defeat [at Charlton].
"We didn't want to lose and we could have taken it with two late chances."
Bennett was full of praise for Jordan Rhodes who scored seven goals for The Bees as they won League Two last year and has already notched seven times for Huddersfield this year.
Bennett and centre back partner Mark Phillips were up against the 19-year-old at the Galpharm Stadium and limited him to one headed chance which went over from seven yards.
"It was a pretty cagey game," added Bennett. "Jordan didn't have many chances but his movement is excellent.
"When I play against someone I know I don't like to talk to them so it was a bit strange.
"He will have a good career."
