Brentford striker Myles Weston hailed Kevin O'Connor for his penalty double that propelled The Bees to a 2-1 win over Southend United.
Weston won Brentford's first penalty of the evening as they came back from conceding an early goal, when an assistant referee judged goalkeeper Nikki Bull had carried a free kick into his own net, to pick up their first win in seven games.
He said: "I passed it to Sam Wood and pointed where I wanted it, I went past the defender and he has clipped me.
"It was definitely a penalty.
"So was the second one, it was like mine, the defender committed himself, [Marcus Bean] knocked it past him and he took his leg.
"I'm glad Kevin scored both of them, there was a lot of guts to take a penalty in the last minute, a lot of people would have been nervous.
"I commend him for doing that, it won us the game."
The pacey forward said he hoped it would be the start of another good run.
"We were all shocked when the referee gave the goal," he continued. "When we came in at half time we wanted to forget it and we knew if we kept on playing the way we were we would win.
"Everyone came out with confidence, everyone forgot about it.
"We did very well to win the game, it was good to get the win and hopefully we can go on from here."
