SCOTT "DELIGHTED" FOR PLAYERS
Brentford manager Andy Scott said he was delighted for his players after the 0-0 draw with league leaders Leeds United.
The Bees' boss said he felt his side were well worth the scoreless draw and hailed the work-rate of his players.
Scott said it had been a difficult week after the reverse against Tranmere Rovers last Saturday but the players had taken the opportunity to bounce back.
"Every single player has worked hard this week," explained Scott. "We took a little bit more criticism last week than was due.
"The performance wasn't fantastic last week but the result was poor.
"Everyone found it difficult this week, we needed to respond and a big game like this is an ideal one to do that.
"We changed our formation - the players believed in what we were doing.
"I'm delighted for them.
"A team of Leeds' quality, who are top of the league, will get chances but we restricted them to a couple.
"There were two saves from Wojciech [Szczesny] and we created a bit, there were balls in the box that maybe we could have got on the end of."
Scott said he was generally happy with his team's recent form and called on his players to reproduce what they have done at Griffin Park away from home.
"Over the last ten games we have played well without doing it week in, week out," said Scott. "We have found our form sporadically.
"We are hoping for a bit more consistency.
"We have shown against the good sides we are a match for them, we need to take that into every game.
"We are a good side at home, we need to be better away from home.
"With Milton Keynes Dons and Gillingham coming up we need to be just as resilient away from home as we are at home."
