BEES SIGN AKINDE
With the mid season transfer window drawing to a close at 5pm this afternoon, Bees Manager Andy Scott has secured the services of Bristol City striker John Akinde initially on a one month`s loan with a view to an extended term.
The 20 year old, 6`2" forward has recently been on loan at Wycombe Wanderers, as indeed he was last season, and it was at Griffin Park in our 3-3 draw against Wycombe in March that he scored a brace of goals on his debut for them.
John was formerly with Ebbsfleet United and his transfer from the Conference side to Bristol City in September 2008 for £140K was the first ever transfer decided by a fans poll.
On signing John said he would love to mark his debut in the same way as he did when last here. He said he was desperate to get games under his belt and was looking forward to joining up with his new team mates at the Training Ground tomorrow.
