Lionel Ainsworth who signed initially on a one month loan deal last week from Huddersfield Town, has had his agreement extended until the end of the season.

The 22 year old forward was hoping to have made his debut for the Bees on Saturday at Oldham until the fixture became a victim of the weather.

Lionel said he was desperate to show what he can do as he was due to play in today`s reserve game also and will now have to wait until tomorrow, albeit third time lucky. He said he would bring pace to the side and also has a fair leap on him. He was disappointed to have started just four games for Huddersfield Town and can`t wait for the challenge that the move here has now presented to him.

This news follows the earlier announcement that Brentford have taken Bristol City striker John Akinde on a one month`s loan with the view to an extended term.
