Brentford manager Andy Scott criticised his team's second half performance as they lost 2-1 against Walsall.
The Bees boss said he felt his team were "comfortable" in the first half - which ended 1-1, although Brentford had the better of it and took the lead through Charlie MacDonald - but said they did no stick to his game plan after the break.
Alex Nicholls, who scored the equaliser, set up the winning goal for Troy Deeney with six minutes remaining.
Scott said: "If we don't stick to what we do we get beat. They stuck to how they play and did it better than us.
"At half time I thought we were comfortable.
"The least we should have got out of the game was a point.
"It's very, very disappointing."
Scott said Walsall dealt with the pitch better than his team did.
"It's not an easy place to come," he said. "It's not a great pitch, our pitch is the same, a lot in this league are poor.
"We did well first half, we put pressure on them, but if people don't do their jobs properly you lose games of football.
"I was confident we could win the game, the first half proved we were good enough to do that.
"If everyone is trying to do the same thing we are a decent team.
"If we don't stick to how we play, mistakes start to creep in and you play into their hands.
"You can't mistakes against sides in this league."
