Brentford manager Andy Scott said the 1-1 draw at Elland Road against promotion-chasing Leeds United was a magnificent result.
Scott, who hailed the support of more than 2,200 travelling fans, admitted to being a little frustrated not to win after taking the lead.
The Bees had looked set for a shock win when they took the lead - a goal Scott said Charlie MacDonald might claim, although it was awarded to Ben Strevens - but Jermaine Beckford struck a late leveller for the home side.
Scott said: "It was a bit frustrating [not to win]. The goal they scored was probably one we have dealt with most of the afternoon.
"We knew we would be under pressure but to come here and get something is magnificent.
"When you are 1-0 up you feel you can win it.
"We felt with them being at home they would want to win.
"We changed our formation at home [to play 4-5-1] but we worked hard throughout the week on how we can play.
"We said from minute one on Monday we are setting up to win the game.
"And we could have won, we hit them on the break and we had opportunities to have won."
Scott said he was pleased to have scored a goal from a set piece as his team have not scored many from dead balls this season and said the result would give his team confidence.
"This was a big game for us.
"We have a lot of games coming up, to start here and pick a point up gives us confidence.
"[This run of games coming up] will test us but the fitness of the lads is fantastic.
"If we can get on a roll and have confidence we will want the games coming thick and fast."
