Here at Brentford we went further and additionally supported "Afghan Heroes" a charity which has specially been set up by a group of mums who had all lost their sons over a 24 hour period in Afghanistan. Known as the Band of Mothers, two of their founders, Denise Harris and Carol Brackpool were in attendance at Griffin Park together with representatives from the 2nd Fusiliers Hounslow and from RAF Halton, plus members of the Royal British Legion, Hounslow Branch.

During the half time interval operatic tenor Tim Pitman sung the single "Fields of Green", the single of which is available for download from Monday 29th March via iTunes and SMS text message.
