Brentford striker Charlie MacDonald said the 3-2 win against Oldham Athletic completed a great ten days for the club.
The Bees' top scorer took his tally to 14 for the season with a brace in the Boundary Park win - which sandwiched a Pim Balkestein strike - and MacDonald said it was a "very pleasing" evening.
"It's been a long couple of days," said MacDonald. "With the travelling yesterday.
"It makes it all worthwhile when you come to a place like this on a wet Tuesday night and get three points.
"It's been a great ten days. We picked up seven points in three games before tonight, now it's ten in four.
"When you are losing games and they are coming thick and fast, confidence is low.
"At the moment the boys are playing well - although we didn't play that well against Orient we got a great win.
"Tonight, at times, we have done some really good things and come away with three points.
"It's very pleasing, it's been a good few away games for me personally, and the team.
"It's especially pleasing as we have played so many games and we are still enjoying playing the games and no-one is looking tired."
MacDonald paid tribute to the cross from Lewis Grabban that lead to his first goal, a superb scissor-kick style volley.
"It was a great ball in," said the striker, who notched Brentford's third late on with a cool finish after a ricochet in the box.
"I got in between the full back and the centre half, it has curled outwards and I have shot back across my left shoulder.
"It was nice to see it go in.
"I would like to say it was good technique, it could have gone anywhere, thankfully for me it went in."
