Brentford defender Leon Legge said the point gained in a 2-2 draw with Southend United was "not a bad result".
The Bees lead twice through Charlie MacDonald and Carl Cort but Francis Laurent struck twice to earn the home side a point.
The visitors had to contend with losing goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, defender Karleigh Osborne and midfielder Marcus Bean to injury while centre back Pim Balkestein limped through the last half hour.
Legge paid tribute to Danny Foster, who stepped in alongside him at the heart of the defence after Balkestein's injury.
"Fozzie [Danny Foster] slotted in a did really well," said Legge. "He was really good when he came in.
"The gaffer [Andy Scott] had to change it round a bit.
"They piled on the pressure, they threw everything at us.
"To get a point away from home is not a bad result.
"When we went 2-1 up they scored straight away and it was a sloppy goal [from our point of view].
"They are down the bottom and will take anything.
"We were on top for a lot of the first half and went in 1-0 up, in the second half they piled on the pressure.
"For them to score straight after we got our second was a kick in the teeth."
