Brentford manager Andy Scott has set his side two targets between now and the end of the season - to remain unbeaten and climb into the top nine in League One.
The Bees rose to tenth after a 2-1 win over relegation-threatened Tranmere Rovers and extended their unbeaten run to ten matches in the process.
Scott saw his side jump above MK Dons and they are now two points behind Bristol Rovers with three games left.
"We want to go unbeaten to the end of the season now," said Scott.
"It's very important we maintain our standards and take our form into next season.
"I asked for a little bit more from my players at half time and we got it - it was a good win.
"We are on 60 points now and that's a terrific achievement.
"We want to stay ahead of Milton Keynes Dons and we have Bristol Rovers in our sights - we want to catch them.
"We have good players and they are playing with confidence.
"We have become a lot harder to beat and we have learnt from our mistakes, we have cut the errors out.
"We have shown we can put decent performances together and also still get results with bad performances."
Scott said Carl Cort has a foot injury and would undergo an x-ray but he was hopeful it was only bruising and he would be available to face Yeovil Town on Saturday.
The Bees boss added he was now a little disappointed the run of non-stop games was coming to an end, given his side's form.
"The way it has been going I wish we had another Tuesday game," added Scott. "I said at the beginning of the run I thought we would get better.
"Ten games ago we were right in the mix and under pressure to get results.
"But we have now surpassed the points total from the last time we get promoted [in 1999], when I was a player.
"And when you look at the players we had in that team [it shows how well we have done]."
