The Bees met Gillingham in their penultimate totesport.com Combination fixture this afternoon at Staines Town FC and ran out victors by five goals to two. 

Nikki Bull, Lewis Ferrell, Chris Bush, Jake Reeves, Mark Phillips, Fraser Franks, Lionel Ainsworth, James White, Shaun Lucien, Pelayo Gomez, Jack Ward.

Subs: Simon Moore, James Zanelli, Luke Hacker.

By half time The Bees had raced into a 3-1 lead with goals from Mark Phillips in the 4th minute and two from Pelayo Gomez in the 25th and 37th minutes.

The Gills pulled one back four minutes before the break.

Brentford extended their lead in the 52nd minute through Chris Bush and extended it still further in the 65th minute through Jack Ward. Gillingham pulled one back in the final minute of the game. 

Second half substitutions saw Simon Moore replace Nikki Bull directly after the break and James Zanelli and Luke Hacker replaced Mark Phillips and Jack Ward respectively in the 67th minute.
