July 2009

July 1st: The month started well with Mark Phillips signing a new improved contract and the news that Leon Legge had agreed to move to the Bees from Tonbridge Angels.

July 2nd: Myles Weston agrees to move from Notts County - the fee is to be decided by tribunal.

July 7th: Brentford are training in Marbella

July 8th: Lewis Price agrees to sign for the Bees on a season long loan. A young Bees side lose 2-1 to Farnborough in a pre-season friendly. Brentford trialist Kezie Ibe scored the Brentford goal.

July 11th: Brentford announced that the pitch had been vandalised. Brentford travelled to Staines for a friendly and lose 1-0.

July 15th: Brentford lose 3-1 to Ipswich. Ben Strevens scored the Bees goal.

July 18th: Brentford drew 0-0 against Aldershot.

July 21st: Brentford were 11 minutes away from beating Crystal Palace after an own goal and Myles Weston scored. The game finished 2-2.

July 22nd: Brentford win the Presidents Cup by beating Sutton United with an inexperienced team 3-1 thanks to Moses Ademola, Nathan Elder and Leon Legge.

July 25th: Moses Ademola scored the winner as Brentford beat Croydon Athletic 1-0.

Croydon v Bees

July 30th: Moses Ademola joins Woking on 6 month loan and the Club also confirm that Alan Bennett has signed a 2 year contract.

July 31st: Brentford fans have the option whether they would like Mathew Benham to take over the Club.
