22 year old Karleigh Osborne yesterday evening put pen to paper on a new contract before heading off for his summer holidays.

Bees Manager Andy Scott said: "I am delighted that we have been able to reach agreement with Karleigh. Having worked hard towards the end of the season he deserved his opportunity in the first team and has shown me he has the ability and hunger to want to continue to improve. In doing so he has proved how valuable he is to the squad and with continued hard work and application I genuinely believe he can achieve his ambitions with us."

Karleigh started his career with The Bees as a 15 year old progressing through the Centre of Excellence before signing as a professional in the summer of 2004. And it was in the final game of that season, against promotion winning Hull City, that he made his first of 107 appearances for The Club.

On signing Karleigh said: "Having previously spent time out on loan I was really hoping to earn a regular first team place last season but instead found myself covering at both full back and central defence. That said I obviously did enough to prove to the gaffer that I have something to offer and was really very pleased to be offered a new contract."
