Brentford Football Club`s defender Leon Legge has today agreed and signed a new two year contract with the Club.
The 24 year old central defender who joined The Bees from Tonbridge Angels just twelve months ago cemented his meteoric rise from Ryman's Premier League to Coca-Cola League One with the supporters "Player of the Year" trophy only last month.
Bees Manager Andy Scott said of Leon Legge recently: "He has a desire to win and wants to win, and has only one thing on his mind and that is to win the ball, and there are not many defenders like that anymore. He played a major part in us finishing in ninth place last season."
Leon said on signing: "I`m really pleased to be able to sign this new contract and I can`t wait to get cracking for next season which I believe will be quite special. As I said recently we`ve shown we can compete at this level and with that experience behind us alongside the work the gaffer is putting in preparing his squad for next season, I`m really excited about the season ahead and can`t wait. I`ve had a short break and in the next couple of days I shall start running and do a bit of work in the gym. It`s all part of the fitness programme that Al Lane our Fitness Coach has set up for me, as indeed he has for all the players."
