Brentford Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Carl Cort on a one year contract.

Cort scored a number of important goals last season and ended with a total of 7 goals in 30 appearances and helped the Bees finish in 9th position. The 32 year old 6`4" striker brings a wealth of experience having previously been signed by the late Sir Bobby Robson for £7million when signing for Newcastle United from Wimbledon in 2000. He has also appeared for Wolves, Leicester and Norwich.

Andy Scott said "Carl was a real benefit to us last year and whilst he might not have started all games he certainly gave me an option to change things for particular games, if we are to continue to drive the club forwards we are going to need both his experience and ability and I am delighted he has decided to commit himself to the club for a further season".
