Brentford manager Andy Scott was pleased the work his team had done on their attacking play paid off in their pre-season victory over Woking.
The Bees eased to a 4-0 win with Nicky Forster scoring one and making two more for Michael Spillane and Myles Weston, who ended up with two.
Scott said his team had been "sharpening up" their forward play over the past few days and saw some of the fruits of that labour against the Blue Square South side.
"The thing we were looking for tonight was the tempo of our play," said Scott. "We sharpened it up over the last few days, worked on the finer details in terms of what we were looking for.
"We are a good side when we look to play forward and play the way we want.
"We could have scored a hell of a lot more goals tonight, we missed a few chances.
"We were always a threat behind them, we got good crosses in and we had shots.
"As the game wore on they became more tired and we got the balls into the feet of our strikers.
"We scored good goals - Nicky Forster showed what he could do and Myles Weston went up front and scored two.
"We haven't scored many goals pre-season but we haven't worked going forward - we have worked defensively and that looked pretty good.
"We have two weeks to go and are still moving forward."
Scott said he was still looking to bring more players into his squad before the start of the season, including at least one defender.
He said he let Alan Bennett leave the club as he didn't feel the Irishman would help the club progress and would see if he could continue with Izale McLeod's trial.
He added Charlie MacDonald would probably be available for The Bees' final pre-season outing, against Crystal Palace on Friday.
