Posted on: Thu 05 Aug 2010

Just two days prior to the start of the 2010/11 season Brentford Football Club have today completed the transfer of 30 year old striker Gary Alexander from Championship new boys Millwall on a two year contract.

The former West Ham trainee had been with The Lions for three seasons scoring 25 goals in 82 starts including both goals in their losing League One Play Off Final match versus Scunthorpe United in May of last year.

On completing the signing Andy Scott said: "I`m delighted to get him to Griffin Park as he has proved to have a good goal scoring record throughout his career and is someone who has enjoyed success at this level. I am also confident he will fit in with the way we play and will give us the goals we need in our pursuit of improving still further on last season".

Gary goes straight into the squad for Saturday`s opening fixture away to Carlisle United.
