Bees Manager Andy Scott has this afternoon swooped to add some more substance to his squad by taking Reading`s England Under 21 International goalkeeper Alex McCarthy on loan, initially for 28 days.

Andy Scott said: "Alex is highly regarded at Reading and will be coming to us on a high after making his Under 21 International debut for England against Uzbekistan on Tuesday evening. He also had a very successful loan period with Yeovil Town last season playing 44 of their 46 League games."
