THE OPPOSITION
Swindon Town were about 75 minutes away from The Championship at the end of this season and despite the sale of key players will expect to feature in the promotion shake-up this term.
The Robins battled for promotion all the way last season - a run mainly built on the goals of Charlie Austin and Billy Paynter - and when they took the lead against Millwall on the final day of the campaign had the second tier in their sights.
But they eventually lost that day, were beaten again by the south London side in the play-off final at Wembley and were consigned to another season at this level.
During the close season, captain Gordon Greer left to join Brighton and Hove Albion and top scorer Billy Paynter joined Leeds United but players have come in too, including the permanent capture of former loanee Simon Ferry from Celtic.
The Wiltshire outfit did not start the season as they would have wished - losing at home to Brighton and then to Leyton Orient in the Carling Cup.
They recovered from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Hartlepool United and claim their first point of the season last weekend.
THE MANAGER
Danny Wilson is one of the division's most experienced managers - he has been in hot seats all over the country for more than 15 years.
The 50-year-old took over at Barnsley in 1994 and made his name at Oakwell by taking the Yorkshire club into the top tier for the first time in 1997.
The Northern Irishman also managed Sheffield Wednesday, Bristol City, Milton Keynes Dons and Hartlepool United before taking over at Swindon on Boxing Day 2008.
THE DANGER MAN
Charlie Austin has started his second season at Swindon Town with a bang, and looks set to continue his goal scoring spree.
The 20-year-old signed from Poole Town last October for an undisclosed fee and took League One by storm last term.
Playing alongside the experienced Billy Paynter he notched 20 goals in his début league season, at a rate of better than one every two games.
He has hit two in two league games so far this term and, with Paynter gone, has taken on the mantle of Swindon's leading man.
THE FORMER BEE
Swindon do not have any former Brentford players in their ranks, but they won't be short of familiar faces.
Less than four months ago The Bees were beaten 3-2 at the County Ground and many of the Swindon team that were on show that day are set to feature on Saturday.
Jon-Paul McGovern, who set up Danny Ward for the second that afternoon and also scored in a play-off semi-final for Sheffield Wednesday against The Bees will be a man to watch.
THE BRENTFORD VIEW
Toumani Diagouraga spent a spell on loan at Swindon Town in 2006 but rejected suggestions it would make him even keener to make sure The Bees picked up three points this weekend.
The 23-year-old midfielder, speaking immediately after the defeat against Walsall last week, said he was confident results would improve.
He said: "We are getting there slowly but surely, it's just a matter of time.
"We can do better than we did last year.
"We have lost the first two, it is only six points, I'm sure we will do better. There is no reason to panic, I am sure we will achieve our goals.
"We have a good manager and good staff so we will be ready for Swindon.
"Having a week together as a squad will help as well.
"We know it will be a tough game but I think we have the qualities to beat any team in this league.
"We will go there positive and wanting to win.
"I don't go there with an extra incentive, the past is the past. I just want to make sure we get the three points.
"We have the qualities to go on ten, 12, 15 match unbeaten runs, hopefully it will start on Saturday."
