Brentford manager Andy Scott said he was pleased with the performance of his team in their 1-1 draw with Swindon Town.
The Bees picked up their first point of the campaign against last season's beaten play-off finalists.
Scott admitted he was both pleased with a point and disappointed not to have won, particularly as his men took the lead through Charlie MacDonald inside the first ten minutes.
"It's good to get off the mark," said Scott. "This is a difficult place to come and we created a lot of chances, we kept the ball better.
"We did very well today, they are a decent side and I thought we gave them a real test.
"We restricted them to very few chances and missed some of our own.
"I was really pleased with the performance.
"I was pleased with 99 per cent of what we did today, we probably made two or three basic errors, one cost us a goal."
Scott admitted he was "disgusted" with the goal his team conceded - David Prutton heading in from a long throw - but said he could see his team improving week on week.
"Things we are working on in training are coming out in games.
"This is a side where five or six players came in in the last weeks of pre-season.
"It's not ideal but I wanted these players in.
"Now they are here we are working very hard in training, putting the hours in, to get things right."
