CLARKE VISITS GRIFFIN PARK

Posted on: Mon 06 Sep 2010

New Football League Chairman Greg Clarke made his first ever visit to Griffin Park on Sunday to watch Brentford beat Sheffield Wednesday.

The former Chief Executive of Cable and Wireless Communications was appointed in March - replacing Lord Mawhinney - and took up the post a few weeks later.

The former Leicester City chairman is in the process of visiting all 72 Football League clubs and was at Griffin Park to see The Bees' 1-0 win over the League One leaders.

He said: "I thought it was a great game, I couldn't believe how exciting it was.

"It would have been easy for Brentford to have won by two, three or four."

Greg Clarke spoke exclusively to Bees Player after the final whistle yesterday.
