Previous Highlights
Whilst the match itself wasn't necessarily a highlight we did meet Walsall on the way to the Fifth Round of the FA Cup in the 1970/71 season. It was in the Second Round having beaten Gillingham with two late goals in the First Round. Roger Cross got the only goal of the game and a repeat scoreline in the next Round versus Workington secured a 4th Round tie at Cardiff (won 2-0) and a 5th Round tie at Hull City which we were unlucky to lose 2-1.
Ground

The Bank's Stadium, formerly the Bescot Stadium, was built in 1990 and was opened by Sir Stanley Matthews. It can be seen from the M6. They formerly played at Fellows Park for 94 years until 1990. The capacity of their present stadium is 11,300.

Their average League attendance last season was 4,571 with a high of 8,920 against Leeds United in January, and a low of 3,549 against Brighton in March.
