Twenty five years ago, on 16th January 1986, The Brentford Lifeline Society was launched at Hounslow Civic Centre with the underlying mandate being to assist and promote Brentford Football Club in the best possible way. Since then approaching £2 million has been donated to the Football Club both directly and indirectly.
The subscription of £2 per week (£104 per year) remains today as it did 25 years ago and Lifeline's agreed policy of supporting specific projects allows members the opportunity to see the tangible rewards that their subscriptions merit.
In recent years this has included the funds enabling Ealing Road to be covered and reopened as a home end, the refurbishment of the Jersey Road Training Ground, the acquisition of players, the modernisation of some of the Club's hospitality facilities and the updating of the match commentary facilities offered to visually impaired supporters, to name just a few projects.
Additionally it has provided thousands of prizes including Holidays to the USA and Hospitality packages to it's members. During the current season Lifeline has undertaken to hold a half time draw at every home match which have already included such as eight separate pairs of One Week Holidays to Las Vegas in June 2010.
