PETER FARRELL

Peter Farrell was brought to Brentford as first team coach by manager Uwe Rösler.

The 54-year-old had a long career as a ball playing central midfield player.

He started out at Bury and also played for Port Vale, Rochdale and Crewe Alexandra before a move to Swedish club IFK Göteborg and then on to Keflavík.

He also played for Hamilton Academical, in Scotland, and APOEL, in Cyprus, before retiring.

He moved in to coaching and spent ten years working with young players at Bolton Wanderers.

He managed The Trotters' under-18 team and also progressed to assistant academy director.

Peter was heavily involved in the development of young players including England under 21 internationals Kevin Nolan and Nicky Hunt, Republic of Ireland international Joey O'Brien and Bolton first teamers Ricardo Vaz Tê and Tope Obedayi.

Others to come through the Bolton ranks during Peter's time and go on to play in the Football League include Danny Ward, Cleveland Taylor and Danny Livesey.
